The first step is to complete formal training in translation and/or interpreting. If you have already completed formal training in translation and/or interpreting, you should register a myNAATI account and submit an application so that we can assess your eligibility. If you did a non-NAATI endorsed qualification or completed your training more than 3 years ago, you will most likely be required to provide additional evidence of English proficiency and pass NAATI's Ethical Competency and Intercultural Competency tests, though this will be determined after we have assessed your application.
